Home to Canada’s most highly awarded Cane Corsos, Salem’s Creek is a preservation-focused breeder located in Buckhorn, Ontario. As proud members of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), we are dedicated to protecting and promoting this remarkable breed through health, structure, and temperament. Our Corso's are recognized under CKC, AKC, and FCI judges, proving themselves not only in the ring, but also as loyal companions at home.
With the breed’s growing popularity, far too many Corso's are being bred carelessly, without concern for health, temperament, or the future of the breed. At Salem’s Creek, we stand firmly against this. Every dog in our program is thoroughly health tested, including OFA hips and elbows and genetic panels, because quality starts with soundness and longevity.
We breed on a very limited basis, with each litter carefully planned to preserve correct type and stable temperament. Our puppies are raised in our home with early socialization and exposure, ensuring they grow into confident, well-adjusted adults. Equally important, we are highly selective with placements a Cane Corso is not the right fit for every home, and we take pride in matching each puppy with families who understand and respect the breed’s needs.
For us, breeding is not about numbers it is about legacy. Every decision we make is rooted in love for the Cane Corso and a responsibility to leave the breed better than we found it. At Salem’s Creek, we are more than breeders we are guardians of the Cane Corso’s history, type, and future.

Hi, my name is Gailynn Reed, and I have been actively showing dogs for over 8 years, with a lifelong involvement in breeding. My mother was a Bulldog breeder for more than 23 years and served as the President of the Bulldog Club. She also bred Bloodhounds for police tracking work, producing multiple champions and grand champions during her breeding career. I fell in love with the Cane Corso breed six years ago, inspired by a chance encounter with two Corso's in a car one day I asked the owner what breed they were, and from that moment, I knew I had found my passion.
My background in emergency veterinary medicine has given me a deep understanding of canine health and care, and I take great pride in breeding Cane Corso's responsibly, ensuring every puppy is healthy, well-socialized, and prepared for life as a loyal family companion.
Over the years, I have devoted myself to researching the breed, learning about their temperament, structure, and history. I am committed to raising dogs with exceptional health, balanced temperament, and true Cane Corso character, while providing guidance and support to every family who welcomes one of my puppies into their home.
Breeding for me is not just a hobby it’s a passion and a responsibility. At Salem’s Creek Cane Corso, every puppy is raised with love, care, and attention, reflecting the dedication I bring to preserving the integrity and beauty of this incredible breed.
